A limestone passage carved into the Clifton cliffs holds memories of enslaved Africans who disembarked on the same shoreline when it was a transshipment port. At Sacred Space, an art installation of grandmothers carved from the trunks of Casuarina trees serves as hallowed ground for a libation that will summon blessings for your weekend journey.(Approx. Transforming Spaces Film Series and Pre-Party: Transforming Spaces will host its signature film series and pre-party on Thursday night, serving as an introduction to the lineup of art activities.

There you will find guardians of ancient traditions in basket weaving, wood carving and other art forms. After sampling the Big Yard on this one-day excursion, return to Nassau and prepare for your Saturday night trip to the past.

Transforming Spaces Artist Talk: A light Friday evening artist talk will once again gather the cultural community together for visual and intellectual stimulation. Each of the eight galleries have curated exhibits featuring top local and international artists.

Nighttime Tour: On the Islandz Tours “Bites on Booze Avenue” nighttime experience bar-hop across Downtown Nassau and travel the road walked by infamous bootleggers of the Prohibition era.
